Step 10 Part 3 CFO Seminar

So far, I consider waiting for my CFS schedule to be the most stressful process in my whole au pair journey. Mas malala pa ang uncertainty na makakuha agad ng schedule lalo every Monday lang sila nagpapa-seminar.

The seminar itself last for three (3) hours, from 1pm to 4pm. May mga verifier/handler na magbibigay sayo agad ng link once confirmed na na kasama ka sa seminar pero meron naman na katulad nung handler ko, 12:30pm na nagpadala ng link, on the same day, nagpadala ng link. Pinakaba ka pa talaga.

NOTE: Bawal i-share ang link ng seminar. They will confirm dun sa mismong seminar kung kasama ka sa list of attendees so don’t try your luck.

Anyway, standard lang naman yung seminar. Discussion lang naman ng risk ng pagiging au pair. Lahat naman tayo ay aware sa exploitation na pwedeng kaharapin ng mga au pairs and isa yun sa mga diniscuss. Ni-reiterate din dun yung mga process and yung rights natin as an au pair (AT PAR, EQUAL), kung ano dapat ang sagot ng host on your au pair journey at kung ano yung mga included sa contract niyo.

Most importantly, ano nga ba yung mga need niyong dalhin once ready na kayo sa flight niyo. Ito ay madi-discuss sa susunod na post, sa part 4.

May mga screenshots sa dulo ng post na 'to ng mga diniscuss sa seminar. For now, i-discuss muna natin kung paano natin makukuha yung CFO Certificate natin.

HOW TO GET YOUR CFO STICKER/CERT

Prior to the pandemic, ang binibigay talaga after the CFS is a sticker pero for now, bibigyan lang tayo ng e-cert na ipi-print mo then ipre-present sa immigration officer during your flight. Yung delivery kasi nung mismong certificate ay aabutin daw between 1-2 months, which is weird kasi bayad yung hard copy nun pero ang tagal bago ma-receive.

Here are the steps in getting your CFO e-Certificate

1. Email your handler

Once done ka na sa seminar, you have to email your verifier/handler that you are done with the seminar.

Bida-bida lang ako kaya may screenshot. :)

Take note, during the seminar, chini-check rin ng mga tao dun kung nakikinig ka ba talaga and/or nakapatay ang camera mo the whole time. May confirmed case po tayo na pinaulit ang seminar kasi dapat talaga na makinig ka dito.

2. You will receive an email from CFO containing a link to your OF-CORS Profile

So magi-email sa inyo ng link si CFO mismo (either yung IO nila or as in yung CFO email address) once na-confirm na and/or verify na ni handler niyo yung attendance niyo during the seminar. You have to open the link and fill in the necessary information there.

Unfortunately, I couldn't share mine because everything is personal info eh. :) I think by this time aware na kayo paano mag-fill in nun. :)

3. Payment and Delivery Information

Once okay na yung form ninyo, ire-redirect naman kayo kung paano babayaran and kung paano yung detailed instructions sa pag-send ng proof of payment sa CFO + handler ninyo.

Easiest way to pay it is via GCash. So yung akin, umabot ng P490.00.

💢TIP: PARA MABAWASAN KAHIT PAPAANO YUNG PAYMENT FOR YOUR CFS CERT, wag kayong magbayad mismo gamit yung platform nila. Punta kayo sa GCash, Pay Biller then choose CFO. Mawawala yung service fee na sinisingil pa nila kapag yung mismong site nila ang ginamit ninyo. Make sure lang to take note of your reference number kasi yun ang need ni GCash. :)💢

4. Email handler and ofcors.payment@cfo.gov.ph to get your certificate

Once tapos na kayong magbayad, you have to email both of your handler and the email address na nakalagay sa Step by Step procedure ni CFO. Include proof of payment because they need this to verify your payment.

May ibibigay din sila na EXACT SUBJECT dun sa email ni CFO sayo, including your reference number and your full name, and yun ang gagamitin mo to email OFCORS.

5. Wait for your Certificate

Once na ma-confirm na na successful ang payment mo, they will send you your e-cert na. This can be within the day or the following day depende sa oras kung kelan ka nagbayad.

Once complete niyo na yung mga requirements na hinihingi, yung mga nandito sa list, it’s time to email na your CFO Officer/handler/verifier:

• Passport; (info page, same nung pinasa mo sa MV nun)
• Visa (au pair visa page on passport);
• Contract with all attachments in one PDF file with attestation/authentication;
• Photo of Au Pair with on-hand Contract (wala sa original na list PERO required na mag-submit kayo. Dapat kita yung full face niyo and yung harap ng contract na may nakalagay na “ACKNOWLEDGEMENT/ATTESTATION”)
• Adequate travel and health insurance to cover rebooking and accommodation expenses, if stranded overseas and locally (same dun sa pinasa sa MV);
• Seven cultural activities drafted by the au pair and the host families;
• Execution of a Declaration acknowledging the risks involved amid the threat and uncertainties brought about by COVID19 in travelling by the au pairs, host family and the agency (c/o Bureau of Immigration) LINK FOR FILE, CLICK HERE

Guide Email

💓💪 Note: Try niyo pa rin magpasa even without yung on-hand na contract selfie. Meron kasi nakakalusot minsan. Worth trying din naman if nagmamadali talaga kayo. Wala, ganun talaga.

After sending your email, wait for the confirmation of your schedule ng seminar. Currently, every Monday lang ‘to so talagang i-make sure niyo na i-email niyo ng i-email niyo yung verifier niyo para makakuha kayo ng schedule agad. Kasi kapag hindi, next week kayo ng next week nyan.

Minsan may mga hihingin pa na additional information pero minsan wala din. 

Maganda if mabilis ang verifier niyo mag-reply. Pero kung hindi, need niyo talaga kulitin just to make sure na makakuha kayo ng sched. Every Monday na lang talaga kasi ang seminar.
